Nicolas co-founded Spinecap in 2017 and serves as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing investments and portfolio management.

Prior to Spinecap, Nicolas worked at Oaktree Capital Management from 2008 to 2016, where he held various board and interim management roles. From 2005 to 2007, he was an M&A Analyst at Lehman Brothers.

Nicolas holds an M.Sc. in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics, an M.Sc. in Operations Research from Columbia University, and an M.Eng. from École Centrale de Lyon.

Matthieu co-founded Spinecap in 2017 and is responsible for trading, risk management, and technology.

From 2008 to 2017, he was Head of Risk Management at Capital Fund Management. He previously worked in proprietary trading at J.P. Morgan from 2007 to 2008. Between 2002 and 2007, he co-founded and managed Koalog, a software company, and served as a Software Architect at Trilogy from 1998 to 2001.

Matthieu holds an M.Sc. in Finance from Princeton University, an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from École Polytechnique and an M.Eng. from Telecom ParisTech.

Rémi is a Partner, Investment Analyst and Head of Research at Spinecap. He is fully dedicated to the analysis, due diligence, and monitoring of investments.

Prior to joining Spinecap, he was an M&A Analyst at Rothschild & Co. from 2016 to 2018 and worked at Oaktree Capital Management alongside Nicolas from 2015 to 2016.

Rémi holds an M.Sc. in Finance from Paris Dauphine University.

Vardan is an Investment Analyst and responsible for business development at Spinecap.

Prior to joining Spinecap, he was an Investment Analyst at Amber Capital from 2017 to 2020. He began his career as an intern at Olma Capital Management from 2016 to 2017.

Vardan holds an M.Sc. in Finance from the London School of Economics.

Alexandre is responsible for operations, finance, and administration at Spinecap.

He has also contributed to the development and improvement of the data processing systems used by Spinecap for its operational and investment processes.

He joined full-time after an apprenticeship at Spinecap and previously interned at Kepler Cheuvreux.

Alexandre holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from École Polytechnique and an M.Eng. from Télécom SudParis.

Andrei is an Investment Analyst at Spinecap, fully dedicated to the analysis, due diligence, and monitoring of investments.

He initially joined the firm as an intern before joining the investment team full time. Prior to Spinecap, he interned in the Finance Department at Sanofi.

Andrei holds a Master’s in Management from ESSEC Business School and a double Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Business from Grenoble University and Saint Petersburg University.

Duong is an Operations Analyst at Spinecap.

Before joining the firm, she held various finance and accounting roles in Vietnam from 2016 to 2021.

Duong holds an M.Sc. in International Management from Audencia Business School and a B.Sc. in Accounting from the Academy of Finance in Vietnam.

Hugo is an Investment Analyst at Spinecap, fully dedicated to the analysis, due diligence, and monitoring of investments.

He was previously a Private Equity Analyst at Bridgepoint from 2021 to 2022 and served as CFO and Chief of Staff at the startup Day One from 2022 to 2023.

Hugo holds a Master’s degree in Management from EM Lyon Business School.

Julien is an Investment Analyst at Spinecap, fully dedicated to the analysis, due diligence, and monitoring of investments.

He initially joined the firm as an intern before joining the investment team full time. Prior to Spinecap, he interned at Mirova in Private Assets and at CACEIS.

Julien holds a Master's degree in Management from EM Lyon Business School.

Maxim is an Investment Analyst at Spinecap, fully dedicated to the analysis, due diligence, and monitoring of investments.

He initially joined the firm as an intern before joining the investment team full time. Prior to Spinecap, he interned at Crescent Capital and Columbia Threadneedle Investments.

Maxim holds a MSci in Statistics from the University College of London.
